Rooibos

Rooibos, meaning 'red bush', is a type of tea made from the leaves of the Aspalathus linearis plant that grows in South Africa.  The tea has been popular in South Africa for generations; however, now it is consumed in many countries all over the world.  Its flavor is generally smooth with a natural sweetness and slight earthy, nutty taste.  Since rooibos comes from a different plant than traditional black, green, and white tea, it has lower levels of tannins, which means you can brew it for longer periods of time without getting a bitter taste.

Rooibos contains more antioxidants than green tea and is naturally caffeine free.  It can also help improve digestion and is good for skin and allergies.  It is also high in vitamins and minerals.
